Solar Space Heating Systems |

Solar space heating takes advantage of warmth from the sun through design features that absorb warmth during the day and release that warmth inside where it is needed most. Radiant heating has a number of advantages: it is more efficient than forced-air heating because no energy is lost. The lack of moving air can also be beneficial to people with allergies. The systems depend largely on radiant heat transfer: the delivery of heat directly from hot surfaces to people and objects in the room via radiation of heat, which is also called infrared radiation.

Central heating is one of the most efficient ways to heat up a home, office, hospital or whatever the building might be used for. Solar central heating makes it even more efficient as the energy can almost entirely be derived from solar water heating.
The system has already been tested by Euromed Eco-power Co. Ltd in Malta in different forms, such as fan coils, under floor heating and radiators, and has proved to have a very high level of autonomy, having to resort to other forms of energy for about only 5% of the total time it is operated.
Payback period for these low cost systems can be as little as one year.
